High rises in Canada and the remainder of the world appear to be universal, yet at one time they were unthinkable wonders which were only meant for society’s elite class. However nowadays in Canada this concept and thought has faded as high-rises become affordable.

As of right now Bricks Engineering has undertaken a green and sustainable project in Canada. The project is the construction of a 40-storey high-rise building,

with its main building material being wood. Canada has opted to use its abundant supply of wood to use in the construction industry. This project will have a negligible carbon footprint as well as reduced the burden on Canada’s cement industry. If this works then this may be the new path for sustainable construction.
